Family’s four-hour holiday hell ride to Turkey in plane with seats covered in puke
A London family were horrified when they boarded their plane from Stansted Airport to find their seats surrounded by vomit.
Rather than staff cleaning the sick, the Nagaur family say flight attendants had covered the sick with a blanket and expected them to sit in the seats – despite the disgusting state they were in.
Justine Nagaur, 52, husband Michael, 63, and their two sons Zachary, 20, and Joshua, 16, had been looking forward to a long-awaited holiday to Antalya, their first trip abroad since the Covid pandemic began, MyLondon reports.

The family had planned to fly from Stansted with Corendon Airlines on August 11, but the start of their trip got off to an unfortunate start when Zachary and Joshua sat down and discovered the sick surrounding their allocated seats.
Mum Justine said: “We were all squished trying to find our seat and put our bags up. [I] didn’t notice it immediately just when the boys sat down and started turning around saying ‘ew’.”
Justine said her sons couldn’t initially see there was sick on the floor, but was confused by a blanket he found covering something.
When he picked it up he found it was “wet and had vomit on”.
The outraged mum alerted staff to the vile situation, but did not receive the response she had hoped for.
Speaking about one flight attendant, she said: “And not only that they were rude about it.
“His attitude was ‘why do you need to move’. The attendant said, ‘it’s just like you need to complain for the sake of it’.”
The mum-of-two added: “They said they knew about it but weren’t going to stop the plane because of the vomit and their company policy is that they don’t have a contract with a cleaner so the plane doesn’t get cleaned.”
Justine claims staff expected her sons to sit in the seats for the entire four-hour flight.
The family said they had to fight to be moved to a seat that wasn’t covered in spew, but during the argument, her sons reportedly had to sit with their legs up to avoid touching the floor for around 30 minutes.
They were eventually given somewhere else to wait, and finally another seat.
Although the ordeal is over, Justine has been left feeling “anxious” about their return to the UK, where they will use the same airline.
“It was a fiasco,” she said.
“It was the fact when you feel like you’re in a surreal situation, when you feel an extreme reaction to something, but people you’re meant to have a sense of trust are not only rude but completely apathetic about the whole situation.
“You start thinking, ‘is it me, am I being too fussy?’ and [then] think ‘no, this is really really disgusting’.
“It was the whole service. I was thinking, ‘my god, we’ve just been through such strict regulations in the pandemic and I’m sat in a plane pumping whatever was in that vomit around the entire plane.’
“Even pre-Covid you wouldn’t expect that situation. Planes are meant to be cleaned in-between.”
Corendon Airlines has been contacted for comment.
