‘I tried to copy Frankie Bridge’s haircut but ended up looking like dinner lady’
Looking back on your past style choices may leave you questioning what the heck were you thinking.
And for TikTok user Eliza , this is certainly no exception.
In love with The Saturdays, a young Eliza sought inspiration from Frankie Bridge and her then cropped pixie cut.

But with Eliza just in primary school, did she pull the girl group star’s iconic do off? Not quite.
In a viral TikTok clip, Eliza’s childhood barnet has been hilariously likened to a ‘dinner lady’ – or even comedian and actor David Mitchell.
She first showed a snap of Frankie Bridge with her pixie cut, and wrote: “Point of view, you wanted the ‘Frankie from The Saturdays’ haircut at aged 8.”
Young Eliza expected to look like a double of the brunette singer – but did not have much luck.
With a series of snaps in her primary school uniform and girl scouts get up, Eliza modelled her attempt of the pixie cut.
However the sweeping fringe and shorter sides were not particularly present.
Instead, Elizia had a block fringe with her hair cut short on both sides.
Since being posted, the clip has now racked up 680,000 views and endless comments from tickled users who have compared young Eliza to a number of people and characters – unfortunately none of them being Frankie Bridge.
One person chuckled: “Dinner lady realness.”
Another user added: “It’s giving me Jean Slater from Eastenders vibes.”
While a third person praised: “Still thankful my mum and auntie (my hairdresser) talked me out of this.”
Someone else noted: “It’s giving dinner lady.”
Meanwhile, a fifth user declared: “Mark Corrigan tha.”
And, this person mocked: “Thought u was David Mitchell.”
