Self-described ‘sinner’ reveals the pros and cons of dating a Mormon in Utah
A TikTok star has opened up about the pros and cons of dating a Korean Mormon as a self-described ‘sinner,’ from always having a designated driver to judging herself for drinking alcohol.
Cierra Mistt, 28, is from Florida but now lives in Salt Lake City, Utah, where she met her boyfriend. The flight attendant, who has 3.1 million followers, has been sharing how they blend their different lifestyles to make their relationship work.
Mistt explained in a recent video that she likes ‘drinking, doing the dirty, and basically everything else a Mormon is not supposed to do’ — yet her boyfriend still made ‘the decision to date a sinner like me.’

Alcohol, tobacco, tea, coffee, drugs, and premarital sex are all banned in the Mormon Church, formerly known as the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
It’s unclear how long they have been together, but she first introduced her partner on TikTok earlier this month after documenting their visit to Florida to meet her parents.
Mistt’s videos about their relationship touch upon her boyfriend being both Korean and a practicing Mormon. She shared that the ‘number one’ pro of dating a Korean man is undoubtedly the food.
‘I never knew my love for Korean barbeque until I was introduced, but now I am obsessed,’ she said. ‘Not only that, but any times he comes over and knows that I’m hungry, which is normally all the time, he’ll bring whatever his mom made for dinner that night — and let me tell you, it’s bussin.’

However, she admitted that she is ‘terrified’ to meet her boyfriend’s mother because she doesn’t know how to use chopsticks
Mistt also discussed what it is like to have a boyfriend who is sober when she is not
Mistt noted that the only con is the fact that she is ‘terrified’ to meet his mother and has been putting it off because doesn’t know how to use chopsticks.
‘In my defense, I was never taught growing up how to use them, and I didn’t know that it would be a skill I needed,’ she explained. ‘I mean, even when visiting other countries or going to an Asian restaurant, I know they are going to judge, but they will have a fork. And, if not, they’re at least going to have some kiddie chopsticks I can use.
‘Not gonna lie, I honestly think this is my boyfriend’s biggest pet peeve about me also,’ she admitted.
In Mistt’s most recent video on the topic, she discussed what it’s like to be with someone who is sober when she’s not.
Mistt joked that she and her friends are ‘fully functioning alcoholics’
Since Mistt’s boyfriend doesn’t drink, they always have a designated driver when they’re out
Mistt shared that her boyfriend is so supportive of her ‘passion for alcohol’ that he learned what types of wine pair best with what foods so he can pour her the ‘perfect glass’
‘I drink, he doesn’t. You might be wondering how that’s a pro,’ she said, joking that she and her friends are ‘fully functioning alcoholics.’
‘Knowing that we have a permanent DD [designated driver] any times we get into shenanigans is probably the best news ever,’ she explained. But now for the con, which may surprise you: the judgment.
‘I’m talking any time I get into the fridge and grab a White Claw, there is constant judgment. From him? No, silly gooses, from me. Since I met his sober self, I’ve started judging myself hard — and even harder every time he tells me that he doesn’t judge me. But I know he means it.’

The TikToker has yet to reveal if they have had sex, though she did share footage of herself kissing and straddling her boyfriend during a make-out session

She announced in the middle of the video that he had her stop recording to tell her that there was one scenario in which he would be willing to drink with her.
‘Low key, I think he told me this idea because he doesn’t think it will ever happen,’ she said. ‘Little does he know, TikTok loves corrupting people.’
Mistt promised to divulge what scenario he was referring to in a follow-up video. Viewers guessed in the comments that he was talking about his wedding day, but she insisted that wasn’t it.

Mistt said she would be talking about how they navigate physical intimacy in her recent video, but it seems she ran out of time.
