Woman tries full face of Primark makeup and result leaves people ‘running to shop’

A woman has challenged herself to do a full face of makeup using Primark products – and has been left pleasantly surprised at the results.

The fast fashion shop is often known for offering trendy clothing for bargain prices, along with their classic brown bag carrier.

But Primark is not commonly seen as place for beauty fans to raid.

However, this makeup artist might have just changed that.

Influencer and beauty enthusiast Caitlin Muirhead has taken to TikTok after one of her 131,000 followers requested she try a full face of Primark products.

So she gave it her best shot…

Caitlyn started off with her brows

At first the blonde content creator showed what she looked like with the dark contour not blended in and called herself “insane”.

Wind backwards, a bare faced Caitlin held up the brown carrier bag as she said: “A full face of Primark makeup? Ok, we are going to try.”

First off, the influencer paid attention to her eyebrows.

She bought a brow lamination kit for only £4 that came with a mini toothbrush shape brush, a balm and a compact mirror.

Caitlin ‘wiggled’ the brush in the balm and then brushed upwards to achieve a fluffy and full look.

Time for the foundation!

“Very impressive this, this is literally £4 for both and it’s done these brows,” the influencer gushed.

Next up, Caitlin used a primer that is used to create an even base for her foundation.

Also costing £4, the product with avocado was predicted by Caitlyn to be “similar” to the pore less primer by The Beauty Corp priced at £10.

As the beauty influencer applied the Primark product with her hands, she noted: “I feel like it’s definitely got rid of some of my pores and texture on my face.”

The influencer then sprayed the ‘prep and perfect’ setting spray in gold from Primark, again at a bargain £4 which left Caitlyn with a “glow”.

Then it was onto the foundation in the colour ‘cashew’, which the beauty guru applied with a pink sponge.

Although there was not many shades available in the store she visited, Caitlyn felt it was the “perfect colour match”.

She said: “Not gonna lie I feel like that’s a perfect match. It also says a medium to full coverage and I’m kinda getting the light to medium.

“This foundation is £2.50, look at my skin right now.

“The glow is still coming through which I love.”

Caitlyn said she looks ‘insane’ when applying the 90p concealer

Caitlyn then used a concealer stick in a darker shade to her skin tone to contour her face, including her lips.

She then sprayed her face again with the setting spray and commented that it helps the creamy products “melt” into the foundation.

And, with the concealer only costing 90p, Caitlyn seemed pretty impressed.

Caitlyn then applied some more concealer in a lighter shade under her eyes and dabbed in with a sponge.

With a few strokes of the £1 bronzer, the influencer’s face began to look more sculpted.

After this, Caitlyn applied the ‘wonder lash’ mascara that only cost a small amount at £3.

“Now it is clumpy but I prefer mascara to be like that,” she admitted.

The product quickly accentuated her eyes making her lashes look a lot thicker and darker.

Last but not least, Caitlyn then applied a nude coloured £2.50 lipstick to finish the look.

She added: “I literally am obsessed with that colour, wow.

“You would not think that this is just Primark makeup.

“This full face cost me like £23.”

Or £22.80 to be precise.

Caitlyn concluded: “Honestly I’m so impressed.”

Stunned by the quality of the makeup, many people fled to the comments to praise Caitlyn for showing that you can still look good on a budget.

One person commented: “Not me running to Primark.”

Another user added: “Looks absolutely flawless stunning.”

While a third person voiced: “That looks so good.”

Someone else shared: “Me everyday because I’m poor and Primark is the only cheap makeup that doesn’t make my skin break out.”
