Massive explosion rocks Narellan workplace, one patients treated for burns

At least one employee has been injured in a massive explosion at a workplace on Sydney‘s south-western outskirts.

Emergency crews rushed to the scene in Millwood Avenue, Narellan shortly after 11.20am on Wednesday morning.

NSW Ambulance confirmed a male patient is being treated for oil burns at the scene.

Multiple ambulance and fire crews were deployed to the scene, along with a Toll Rescue Helicopter with a critical care doctor and paramedic on board. 

A man, 41, suffered burns to his upper body and torso before he was airlifted to  Royal North Shore Hospital.

‘Inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the explosion are underway and the incident will be investigated by SafeWork NSW,’ NSW Police said.
