BREAKING Man arrested on suspicion of murder after pensioner, 87, stabbed on mobility scooter

A 44-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after an well-loved elderly busker was stabbed to death while on his mobility scooter.

Thomas O’Halloran, 87, was attacked on a street in Greenford, west London on Tuesday afternoon.

Known as ‘Uncle Tom’, O’Halloran was killed in broad daylight while out in his motorised chair.

Police has announced this morning that a 44-year-old man has now been arrested in connection with the incident.

Footage of Thomas riding his scooter was taken just 20 minutes before his tragic death.

The 87-year-old was well-liked and known in the area who regularly busked outside Tesco and the local tube station.

A shop worker named Ronak Patel recognised Thomas from the footage and told the Mirror that: “”he went past here twice every day on his way to and from Tesco to play his accordion.”
