Braves OF Marcell Ozuna arrested for DUI less than 2 years after domestic violence arrest
Braves outfielder Marcell Ozuna saw the inside of an Atlanta-area jail cell once again, after he was arrested for Driving Under the Influence and Failure to Maintain Lane.
Ozuna is less than 15 months removed from an arrest on felony dometstic violence charges related to an altercation with his wife.
That arrest led to a 20-game suspension that he served during the 2021 season.
Ozuna was booked into Gwinett County Jail for this DUI incident after 4:00am Friday and was released sometime after 8:00am on a little over $1,800 bond according to The Athletic’s David O’Brien.

In May of 2021, Ozuna was charged with aggravated assault by strangulation and battery after Atlanta-area police saw him grab his wife by the neck and throw her against a wall.
Charges were later withdrawn following a review of video evidence.
Ozuna was placed on six months probation as Major League Baseball suspended Ozuna for 20-games and mandated he enter a diversion program.
He is still owed more than $41 million on a four-year, $65m contract he signed in the winter of 2021.
Ozuna is currently in and out of the starting lineup as he struggles with his hitting, as he bats .214 with an OPS of .656 this season.
