Tesco cancels ALL home delivery orders after 1pm

Tesco‘s home delivery service was thrown into chaos today as the supermarket cancelled all orders after 1pm and told customers it was unable to reschedule them, MailOnline can reveal.

Shoppers phoning up to enquire about their order are being met with a message informing them that all deliveries have been cancelled due to ‘technical issues’. 

Tesco is the largest supermarket in the UK and delivers around a million online orders every week, meaning tens of thousands of customers will be affected by the issue.  

The recorded message said: ‘Due to technical issues we’ve had to cancel all orders after 1pm. 

‘If your order was due after 1pm you have not been charged. We are unable to reschedule these orders.’ 

Shoppers calling the helpline at 3pm were being told they would have to wait for 15 minutes to speak to an agent. 

MailOnline has contacted Tesco for comment.
