Woman leered at in street over 42E boobs has reduction and ‘finally feels comfortable’

A woman with 42E breasts was so tired of being leered at that she had life-changing breast reduction surgery.

Elodie Fredet had to put up with comments about her curves since she was at school.

She’d be stared at at parties and during PE lessons, which led to the self-conscious teen covering up her body.

The 24-year-old communications assistant, from Paris in France, also detested the attention she got in adult life.

She said: “I used to receive many proposals from men on social media, who were only attracted to my body, especially my breasts.

“I had messages which mostly talked about sex and I know those men only spoke to me about it because of my boobs – but I tried to believe this wasn’t the case.

“I was often harassed in the street by older men, which was very embarrassing.

“It was very difficult [during my teens] as they grew so suddenly and in school, other students, especially boys, made comments.

“I wasn’t comfortable with these.

“I didn’t like to run in sports at school because they moved a lot and I tried to hold my chest with my arms discreetly as my bra wasn’t well-suited – it was really uncomfortable.

“When I went to parties, I noticed the looks on me and my breasts, where I became embarrassed to wear tops or low-cut dresses.

Elodie booked in for breast reduction surgery – and much prefers her look now

“I wanted to have the same bra and swimwear like the other girls my age, but buying clothes wasn’t easy.

“None of them fit me properly – it was either too big or too small.

“I was [also] so embarrassed with former partners, as I was scared they would see my breasts moving during sex – so I made sure the light was off, so they couldn’t see.”

As her breasts grew, Elodie battled back pain from the extra weight and found it difficult to look in the mirror.

So in September 2018, she decided to take action.

She sought professional advice and then booked in for breast reduction surgery in March 2019.

The op was successful and Elodie now enjoys “daring” clothes she once shied away from.

She added: “I feel really free and I can wear the clothes I want, as I don’t feel like the ‘big-t*ttied’ girl anymore.

“I’m overall much happier and I love buying new lingerie, as well as swimsuits.

“I’m no longer embarrassed to wear certain clothes and I have more confidence in myself to wear items I didn’t dare before.

“I’m less afraid of looking at others and I’m no longer ashamed.

The Parisian woman wishes breasts weren’t so “sexualised” by society

“My friends and family have all supported me and my mum accompanied me throughout the process – she also had this procedure before.

“Everyone around me knew I wasn’t comfortable with my breasts, so they all encouraged me…

“Breasts are too often over-sexualised and we don’t pay enough attention to young girls who haven’t asked for anything and get harassed.

“I think we should raise awareness for boys and girls at school, as well as putting in place help for girls who are not comfortable with their breasts.

“It can be difficult to talk about it with your family – but you are not alone.

“I talked a lot in support groups before my surgery and it helped me.

“It’s an important decision to make, so you’ve got to be sure you want it, especially as the first few weeks will be difficult.

“Now, I get less embarrassing comments and proposals from men, but I’m still receiving many messages on social media – however, they don’t necessarily talk about sex anymore.

“In public, I see that looks are no longer on my breasts directly and I finally feel home in my body.”
