Aaron Judge wants the New York Yankees to have ‘a little better energy in the dugout’

Aaron Judge has called for the wobbling New York Yankees to show ‘more urgency in the dugout’ after they lost 5-2 to the Blue Jays on Saturday night.

The result means Yankees have lost nine of the last 11 games and have scored just 21 runs – with eight of those coming in Wednesday’s win over Tampa Bay Rays.

Judge, who hit a pair of in-field singles in Saturday’s loss, wants to feel a bit more togetherness in the Yankees roster.

‘Just gotta have a little better energy in the dugout and push each other a little bit,’ Judge said, according to The New York Post.

‘We’re just missing that a little bit right now. We gotta come out and bring it.’

Yankees are back in action on Sunday against Toronto Blue Jays.

Judge continued: ‘When we’re rolling, everyone’s in on every single at-bat and everybody’s pushing each other. We’re missing a little bit of that right now.

‘Some of the stuff I’m seeing is just individual at-bats instead of team at-bats.

‘Once we turn that around, we’ll be right back where we need to be.’

Judge also cooled fears he had hurt his shoulder making a catch in the second inning against the Blue Jays. He ran back and took to ball but went shoulder first into the wall.

The 30-year-old Judge said he was fine and ready to play Sunday.
