Benjamin Mendy ‘forced naked woman onto bed and tried putting his thing in her bum’
Benjamin Mendy forced a woman onto a bed and ‘tried to put his thing in her bum’, a court has heard.
The Manchester City full-back is currently on trial at Chester Crown Court accused of eight counts of rape, one count of attempted rape, and one count of sexual assault, relating to seven women. The Frenchman has denied all the allegations.
On Monday the court heard evidence from the friend of one of Mendy’s accusers. Mendy is accused of raping the woman three times at his mansion in rural Cheshire in October 2020. It is alleged he took the woman’s phone after the pair were in the bathroom together.
The witness told the court: “She said he was looking through her photos.”
However, when the woman had asked for her phone back, Mendy allegedly told her she could only have it back if she took her clothes off so he could ‘see what she looks like’. The witness added: “She said she just did it.”
The witness added her friend told her Mendy then threw her phone on the bed. She said: “When she went to get it, she said he came behind her and forced her on the bed and tried to put his thing in her bum. She said she managed to get out. That’s all she said.”
The witness added she had told Louis Saha Matturie, 41, who stands accused alongside Mendy to “Watch your friend.”
She also told the court her friend ‘looked like she had seen a ghost’ after the encounter with Mendy.
The trial continues.
