Emotional Casemiro breaks down in Real Madrid farewell as he heads to Man Utd
Casemiro bid an emotional farewell to Real Madrid on Monday morning, but vowed to come back one day to the club where he spent nine prosperous years.
He won 12 major trophies with Los Blancos, including three LaLiga titles and an incredible five Champions Leagues.
The 30-year-old midfielder will join Manchester United for £70 million and is expected to be unveiled ahead of their clash with Liverpool at Old Trafford tonight.

After struggling to start the speech at his official farewell on Monday, an emotional Casemiro said: ‘When I left Sao Paulo, it was clear to me that I would play in Real Madrid’s first team. Here I built my life, my family.
‘The greatest title I have achieved is coming to train every morning at this club. As you know, I don’t like the spotlight or being in the spotlight, I’ll try to speak from my heart.
‘If I talk about teammates, I can’t not talk about: Modric and Kroos. We’ve won a lot and we’ve really enjoyed playing together.’
As well as reminiscing on his time at Real, Casemiro looked to his future in the Premier League. He said: ‘I am excited to develop at a big club like Manchester United. I’m sure one day I’ll come back. I want to give back all the love they gave me.’

He will now join Manchester United, who are currently pointless in the Premier League
Real Madrid President Fiorentino Perez also spoke at the event. He said: Casemiro ‘is one of our most special and important players in the last decade.
‘I will never forget your performance against Borussia Dortmund. You’ve become one of our most important players, today is a very special day for Real Madrid.’
United fans will be relieved that their search for a defensive midfielder is finally complete, and hoping he can make his debut as soon as possible.
The Red Devils currently sit 19th in the Premier League and will be gunning for their first points of the season against winless Liverpool on Monday night.
