John Ibrahim throws first birthday party for his son in Sydney alongside wife

John Ibrahim has swapped clubs in King’s Cross for children’s parties with adorable photos showing the father celebrating his son’s first birthday.

The former Kings Cross nightclub owner was every bit the doting dad as he showered his son Elvis in gifts alongside his long-time partner and fiancé Sarah Budge at their home in Dover Heights in Sydney’s east on Saturday.

Sweet photos of the occasion show the trio posing alongside a bunch of colourful balloons and plates of food for the under-the-sea-themed party.

Cupcakes were decorated with a photo of little Elvis wearing a party hat, while a towering two-tier cake had been covered with various sea animals.

About 80 guests, including Beau Ryan and his wife Kara, attended the party.

Ibrahim’s close friend Kyle Sandilands could not attend due to his son’s recent birth.

A sushi chef, a magician and face painters were also at the celebration.

Ibrahim and his fiancé Sarah have been dating since 2015 after meeting when he bought the Potts Point building where she ran a restaurant.

He has two other children from past relationships, including a grown-up son, Daniel, 31.

Filming is well underway for Ibrahim’s much-anticipated TV drama Last King of the Cross, inspired by his autobiography of the same title.

The 10-part series will tell the story of Lebanon-born John and Sam Ibrahim, who grew up in Sydney’s west before going on to become prominent figures in the King’s Cross nightclub district.

Ibrahim bought his first nightclub at 19, and had an empire by the time he was 26.

The mini-series will also explore key events in the nightclub boss’ life, including surviving a near-fatal stabbing and fighting off attempts from bikies trying to seize his empire.
