‘Georgia was soon to be proposed to by Tom on their holiday in Bali, he was picking up her perfect engagement ring on Saturday morning before flying out on Sunday,’ Tallula Galea posted on the online fundraiser.

‘This is what made the romantic holiday so much more exciting for her. Georgia was six weeks away from graduating as an oral health therapist, which was her dream, she already had a job lined up at a clinic she worked at for 10 years.

‘She worked so hard, excelling in her grades, her teachers said she was ‘exceeding expectations’, and her patients loved her.’

The fundraiser has already seen more than $20,000 in donations as the local community and strangers rally around Ms McDonald’s loved ones.

‘The response has been over-whelming, the target has been reached, all excess funding will go towards Rachel, Georgia’s mum. To support Georgia’s dream, allowing her mum to retire,’ Ms Galea wrote.

‘Georgia’s beautiful family and friends, she loved you all so much. Georgia has left behind so many people that loved and adored her, for her beautiful smile, and constant laughter.

‘Georgia’s love did not discriminate, she shared her love with anyone and everyone. The impact she made on everyone who she crossed paths with will never be forgotten.’

Her heartbroken boyfriend also posted a short message asking people to help them farewell the the love of his life appropriately.

‘With the sudden and tragic passing of my soon-to-be fiance, Georgia, I kindly ask for your generosity in helping cover the costs of her memorial instead of giving flowers so that we can provide my gorgeous girl the send off she deserves,’ Mr Van Staveren said.
