Tom Brady DENIES Masked Singer rumors in cryptic tweet featuring a motorcycle rider in his underwear
After an extended absence, Tom Brady made his return to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to begin training camp for the fast approaching NFL season.
Rumors swirled regarding his failure to show up for team practices, with one of the more popular ones being that the seven-time Super Bowl champion was secretly a contestant on the popular Fox reality show The Masked Singer.
Brady directly addressed these rumors, doing so while promoting his self-named clothing brand by quote tweeting a video of someone riding a motorcycle wearing nothing but a helmet and their underwear.
Tom Brady made his return to Bucs training camp Monday, as rumors questioned his absence
‘Wasn’t on the masked singer last week. Was wearing a mask though,’ the future Hall-of-Famer said in the tweet.
While we may not know if what Brady is saying is true, it does raise eyebrows that he chose to address the rumors this way.
Plus, even if what he’s saying is true, it’s not like Brady has the cleanest reputation when it comes to honesty.
Brady said that the absence was so that he could spend more time with his family, enjoying a vacation in the Bahamas at an exclusive resort with his wife Gisele Bundchen.
The NFL Network’s Ian Rapaport also suggested that the absence was related to his desire for a ‘work-life balance’.
The Bucs quarterback had been away from the team since earlier this month as he took a team-approved sabbatical to tend to ‘personal issues’.
On August 11 head coach Todd Bowles announced that Brady’s absence had been scheduled before training camp began.
