Woman who bullies caled ‘pizza lady’ is unrecognisable after losing HALF her body weight
A woman once called ‘Pizza Lady’ by cruel bullies has shared how she shed more than half of her weight in just one year.
Customer service assistant Keighley Muldoon, 36, from Port Glasgow, Scotland, went from being 18st and a size 22 to weighing 9st 7lb and wearing a size 8/10, after growing so unhappy with her looks she changed her lifestyle.
She explained she started to gain weight in 2016 while in an unhappy marriage. She would binge on foods secretly and hide the packaging, hoping that nobody would find out about her indulgence.
But the excess eating started to catch up to her, and by 2019 she had reached her heaviest, and was unhappy with her looks.
After finding pictures of her slim self taken in 2015, Keighley, a mother-of-one, decided it was time for a change.

‘I honestly hated the way I had become,’ said Keighley.
‘It was the heaviest I have ever been in my life. Even when I was pregnant with my son Dylan, 17, I was never that heavy.
‘I was disgusted and repulsed by what was looking back at me in the mirror. I hated seeing the belly, the stretch marks, and I felt that I had become a frump and lost the old me.’
On a typical day, Keighley would eat a double egg muffin from McDonald’s for breakfast with an extra hash brown, a breakfast bagel, pancakes and a hot chocolate, a box of four cakes for lunch, and a takeaway for dinner, usually an extra-large kebab or a large pizza with chips.
Keighley received negative comments from strangers and acquaintances, breaking down her confidence.
Keighley documented her weight loss journey through pictures. She said she used to be a secret eater who was ashamed of what she ate and her looks. Pictured, before her weight loss

‘I was called “ridiculous” for what I ate. I was given the nickname “pizza lady” because of a woman made of pizza on Facebook that resembled my body shape,’ she said.
‘I was told that I would cause the building to shake and fall apart walking with my weight.
‘It hurt terribly. I tried to laugh it off, but sometimes I would cry. It really knocked my confidence.’
At the end of 2020, Keighley decided that it was time to lose the weight.
‘Around Christmastime last year, I was going through my old Instagram photos, and I saw how slim I was around the time of 2015,’ she said.
‘I saw how amazing I looked, how confident I looked. I felt really sad and cried when I saw the photos and wished I had never let my weight creep up to 18st.
‘That was when I decided to have one last big blow-out for Christmas, and my New Years’ resolution for 2021 was to lose the weight once and for all.’
Keighley lost 11stlbs before signing up for Slimming World in January this year, and stuck to the plan religiously.

She started going on long walks wearing weighted vests, beginning with five-kilograms and working her way up to twenty-kilogram vests on 17,000 step walks, going out at 5am.
After joining Slimming World, she lost a further 7st 9lbs in just eleven months – bringing her down to a weight of just 9st 7lbs.
‘It’s changed my life massively,’ she said. ‘I went from size 22/24 to a size 8/10. It feels great fitting into my old clothes as well as treating myself to new clothes.

‘My health – physical and mental – has improved massively. I have so much more energy and feel I have the more confident me back. I love how I look in the mirror.’
‘People are amazed when they see how much weight I have lost.
‘Everyone has been so supportive and encouraging along my journey, and they think I look great.’
Keighley’s typical diet now consists of a Weetabix with fruit and skimmed milk, a ham salad and fruit for lunch, and chili or cajun pork rice for dinner.

Keighley has also received plenty of attention since losing the weight.
‘I started online dating this summer – my marriage broke down in 2019,’ she said.
‘I certainly do get more attention. I think if I was the weight I was before and trying online dating, I wouldn’t have any luck.’
Through losing half of her body weight, Keighley’s main motivation was her own resolution.
‘I didn’t find it hard. I was determined to see it through and I wanted to do it in less than a year,’ she said.
‘If you want to lose weight, you need to want to do it. You need to change your mindset and be focused. You need to change for yourself.’
