‘I track rich people who flaunt wealth social media and use a Taser to rob them’
A robber has lifted lid on how he targeted influencers on social media and reckons they deserve to get robbed because “they are asking for it”.
The masked criminal, from Birmingham, said social media is a “gold mine” and he could get a hit just by stalking the targets for a couple of days and he could easily track down to their address.
Speaking to Vice journalist Tir Dhondy, the man, who covers himself in all black outfits, said he set up a few fake accounts to follow the people who flaunt their wealth on Instagram or Snapchat, often using a Taser to rob them.

“They so much want fame, they just put themselves in danger,” he says.
“You flick through their story and you see them flashing champagne at the parties, bottles. You know they’ve got money, they’ll be spending in the club.”
Tir then asks him how easy to find the location of someone’s house – and she is stunned by what he says.
“From a car registration, you can get the location of the house but at the same time, if I go into their live pin on apps, sometimes their address is in there,” the man explains.
“Check out your Instagram options – it gives out location. This is rich folks’ nightmares, man.”
If the criminals know the clubs where the influencers visit, they could go in and “grab a quick watch”, but if not they would place a tracker under their car to find out which they head to.
“So do you almost feel like the influencers deserve it then?” she asks him.
And he replies: “Rob from the rich and give back to us, man, because we need it. They are asking for it, innit.

“Understand in this life, we know where we come from, not to be out there slipping and sliding, you get me?”
The video was flooded with comments from people who said they will not “stop showing jewellery” on social media.
“Honestly good on him for telling us what they look for, be smart!” one said and another wrote: “To be fair, rich people don’t show at all! This is why!”
A third added: “The thing is he robs from the rich to look rich himself…”
