KSI’s new opponent is boxer who’s lost five of seven fights and has weight disadvantage

KSI’s double boxing bouts on Saturday evening (August 27) will feature one bout against a rapper on debut and another against a struggling professional boxer.

Luis Alcaraz Pineda, one of two opponents that KSI will fight on the same evening this weekend – has lost four professional bouts in a row and three of those by TKO.

In total, the 23-year-old has won two of his seven outings having lost by knockout on debut – and is set to weigh in far lighter than the YouTube star.

With KSI standing at 6ft 0in he weighed in for his last professional bout against Logan Paul at 87.6kg – but said earlier this year that he stood at 97kg.

Pineda, on the other hand, who stands at well over 6ft – and is thought to weigh less than 70kg having fought under that super welterweight limit in the past.

A weight-difference of around 15kg is expected at Friday’s weigh ins, and there could also be an advantage in KSI’s first bout against Swarmz who stands at 5ft 10in.

Despite coming in as a big underdog, Pineda is not short of confidence and is already eyeing up a bout against KSI’s rival Jake Paul.

He told RIL & WILLS: “I am very prepared, I started training right away after getting the challenge.

“Give me the opportunity, I am willing to fight Jake Paul.”

KSI, who was originally booked in to face Alex Wassabi, has gone on a body transformation process over the course of the year to make sure he is fighting fit.

He told Men’s Health of his progress: “I love the drive it gives me. I love the purpose it gives me,” KSI says. “I feel like I’m able to challenge my body every day, push my body to the limit and then keep on pushing.

“When I get in that ring, it’s a celebration of all the hard work that I’ve done.”
