World’s top 10 highest-earning tennis players revealed with Emma Raducanu flying up list
The top 10 highest-earning tennis players of the last year have been revealed by Forbes – with Emma Raducanu a stunning sixth.
The 19-year-old Brit has been bombarded by brands begging to back her since her shock US Open victory in 2021, which has lead to her pocketing a total of $21.1million (£17.8m) – most of which has come off the court.
Sponsorships from the likes of Porsche and Tiffany have made Raducanu $18m (£15.2m). Her injury problems have meant she’s struggled to add much to that tally in tournaments this year, falling in the second round at the Australian Open, the French Open and Wimbledon this year.

Raducanu is in very good company and topped only by five of the sport’s best. The legendary Roger Federer takes the No 1 spot for the 17th straight year, despite not having played competitively for nearly 14 months.
His $90m (£76m) off-court earnings are unmatched and mean he stays well ahead of the rest. Second-placed Naomi Osaka is way behind him on $56.2m (£47.4m).
Like Raducanu, the Japanese star, 24, has struggled to perform at her best due to injuries, falling to 44th in the world rankings having once been top seed.

But her exploits without a racquet, including founding her own sports agency with agent Stuart Duguid which has signed fellow player Nick Kyrgios, have bagged her a mega amount.
It’s a very similar story with icon Serena Williams, who follows in third. Retirement may be nearing for the 40-year-old, but she still raked in $35.1m (£29.7m) from elsewhere.
Next comes Rafael Nadal, who’s Australian Open and French Open victories have helped to raise $6.4m (£5.4m) on the court to add to a total of $31.4m (£26.5m).
The Spaniard just beats out Novak Djokovic, the Serb seeing his earnings, which include $7.1m (£6m) from his wins and $20m (16.9m) from sponsors, impacted by his stance on the Covid-19 vaccine.
He didn’t compete at the first Grand Slam of 2022 after Australia denied him access to the country, and he’s parted ways with Peugeot and UKG.
Raducanu is followed by Russia’s Daniil Medvedev, who wasn’t allowed to compete at Wimbledon. The world No 1 still made a tidy $19.3m (£16.3m).
Rounding off the top 10 is Japan’s Kei Nishikori, Serena’s sister Venus, and rising Spanish star Carlos Alcaraz. You can check out the list in full below:
