Beatrice and Eugenie ‘beg’ Charles to give Andrew a job – he says ‘no chance’
Prince Andrew is desperate to be allowed to return to royal duties again, but Prince Charles – who is increasingly taking the reins at Buckingham Palace – has told him there is “no chance,” a royal source has revealed.
Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie reportedly lobbied the heir to the throne on their dad’s behalf, begging Charles to change his mind, but without success.
“His family are close so it’s natural Beatrice and Eugenie want to get involved,” the source told The Sun. “They were only looking out for their father and this latest development shows just how intense everything is getting”.

“But,” the source said, “there will be no return to public royal duty for Prince Andrew”.
The Duke of York’s life has been mired in scandal due to his association with billionaire sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Since his honorary military affiliations and royal charitable patronages were cancelled in January 2022, Andrew has been kept out of the royal spotlight.
Andrew left the Royal Navy in 2001, and it’s not clear how he supports himself financially.
The Guardian wrote in 2021 : “With little in the way of visible support, questions over how the Duke of York has been able to fund his lifestyle have rarely been answered. In the past he has appeared to live the jet-set life of a multimillionaire, with holidays aboard luxury yachts, regular golfing sojourns and ski trips to exclusive resorts.”
He made an out-of-court settlement with Virginia Giuffre, who had accused him of being involved of her sexual abuse by Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, to the tune of £12million.
The Duke, 62, has always denied Ms Giuffre’s claims and did not admit liability as part of the settlement.
But now he desperately needs a job.
The source said: “Andrew desperately wants and needs something to do with his life.
“The past few years since he stepped down after the Epstein interview have taken their toll and losing his royal roles has left him with next to nothing”.
Andrew’s daughters Beatrice and Eugenie have remained loyal to him throughout the scandal, and he remains extraordinarily close to his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, whom he divorced in 1996.
A Buckingham Palace spokesman did not respond to the Daily Star’s request for a comment.
