Man goes on ‘stag party for one’ in Portugal after his mates get stuck in UK
An unfortunate bloke looking forward to a stag party was left alone in Lisbon after his mates’ flights were cancelled.
He is now understood to be enjoying a week-long jaunt in the Atlantic nation’s capital entirely on his own.
The unfortunate man arrived in Portugal on Friday, August 26 expecting to be joined by a gang of 18 pals, but was to be sorely disappointed when their return flight got cancelled.

Going by the name Af, the Bristol bloke took to TikTok to share the news that his mates had decided to ditch the trip after their return flights to the UK at the end of the week were cancelled.
He was already on the ground by the time he found out the rest of the party wouldn’t be coming, MyLondon reports.
Sharing his misery with 10,000 or so followers on the popular video-sharing app, Af said: “Why always me? So I’ve just arrived out in Lisbon for a stag do. Nineteen of us on the party. Eighteen are flying from London Luton. I flew in on my own from Bristol.
“As I landed, I got a text from the stag party to say that their return flight had been cancelled and they’re no longer coming out. So I’m out here in Lisbon on my own, for a stag do on my own.”
He continued: “So tomorrow I’ve got a fun filled packed day. I’ve got a boat party for one, all you can drink. Then a pub crawl, a bar crawl in the evening, for one, all you can drink.”

He then asks: “So what would you do if you’re out here in Lisbon on your own?… Does anybody know anybody out here in Lisbon?”
As well as sharing his side of the story he also posted screen grabs of the group chat where the terrible news was shared.
In it, one of his buds can be see saying: “Just to let everyone know our return flight has been cancelled and they don’t have anything they can transfer us on to.”
Another pair added “Literally no availability especially for 18 people.” and “Everything is cancelled or is full.”
As the chat wore on, one person suggested getting a hotel in Liverpool and cancelling the one in Lisbon, to which Af said: “Don’t cancel the hotel. I’m here!”
Af and co’s flight misery is far from an isolated incident. Brits have been bearing the brunt of a brutal summer of flight disruption with long queues and cancelled flights a common sight across the nation’s airports.
