Drill rapper M Lo who was shot dead in housing estate on London’s exclusive High Street Kensington

A man shot dead in a high end block of flats has been named as a father-of-one and drill rapper who ‘would do anything in this world’ for his young daughter. 

The victim has been named locally as Max, also known as drill rapper M Lo, and was a father to one ‘devastated’ daughter, family friends told the Evening Standard.

Police rushed to reports of gunshots in High Street Kensington, at its junction Warwick Road, west London, at around 2.02am this morning where they found a man believed to be in his 20s having suffered gunshot wounds. 

He was given first aid at the scene and rushed to a central London hospital, but was pronounced dead at 5.32am.

Tributes have been paid to the rapper who has been described as ‘extremely talented’ and energetic.

The family friend said: ‘Fame never changed Max. He’s a very straightforward, energetic and down-to-earth human being.

‘He was extremely talented musically, I’m sure his music will live on for as long as we are here.

‘He knows nothing else other than to look out for his friends and family and most importantly his daughter who he would do anything in this world for.

‘Our group of close friends, his immediate family, his associates are all going to be in bits after having to take this loss.’

The rapper was known for hits including 2016’s Designer and Pain which gained more than a million listens each on Spotify and YouTube.

A 29-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
