Kate ‘changed’ Meghan Markle’s mind about going to see the Queen in her last momentsghan

Kate Middleton is said to have discouraged Megan Markle to visit the Queen in Balmoral with other members of the Royal Family in Her Majesty’s last moments.

The now Princess of Wales Kate is thought to have urged Meghan not to visit alongside her husband Prince Harry after rumours emerged that her presence would “raise eyebrows”, according to the Daily Mail and tweets by royal insider.

Following news that the late Queen was under medical supervision on September 8, members of the Royal Family including Prince William, Edward, Andrew and Sophie Wessex arrived at Aberdeen Airport.

Prince Harry travelled via a jet separately, despite initial reports suggesting Meghan was joining them.

Currently, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex reside separately from the Royal Family in Montecito, California.

The Duchess has spoken out about her experiences in the Royal Family and the criticisms she experienced for being ambitious in her Spotify podcast, Archetypes.

Many insiders are speculating that relations between the two brothers are at their lowest and were supposedly “about to reach boiling point” in August.

However, those fears have dwindled after the brothers were seen together with their wives in a walkabout at Windsor Castle today, where they greeted mourners.

Royal expert and friend of Meghan Omid William Scobie wrote a few days ago that “there’s a laughable effort to suggest the [Sussexes] have been shunned…the true story is, they never reached out to the Cambridges”.

These were the words of “someone familiar with the current family dynamics”, he claimed.

He then quoted a “family friend” as saying: ‘What [Harry] is waiting for is accountability… Many lines were crossed by William. He was at the centre of a number of painful moments, be it the actions of his own staff or turning his back when support was needed.”

Meanwhile, BBC’s royal correspondent Nicholas Witchell gave his thoughts on how the family may be feeling towards Megan.

“She might not be terribly warmly welcomed, to be perfectly candid about it,” he said.
