Logan Paul to make boxing return in January once he’s fought WWE icon Roman Reigns

Logan Paul already has an eye on a return to boxing just days after being confirmed for a mammoth WWE match.

This past Friday on SmackDown, the 26-year-old returned to the company for the first time since SummerSlam, just 24 hours before the legendary Triple H announced Paul would face none other than the company’s biggest star Roman Reigns for the undisputed WWE Universal championship.

Once that match has taken place, reports suggest the YouTuber could return to the boxing ring in January, on the undercard at ‘MISFITS 4’, which would see him fight on the undercard of KSI’s next fight. Several tweets, which included KSI and Paul were posted which indicated a “Prime squad card” for the January fight.

It appeared to be a hint with KSI and Paul co-owners of a drink named Prime. Paul has also indicated who he would like to fight, having previously called out MMA fighter Dillon Danis. In approximately six weeks, WWE fans will witness a match they never expected to see. It came to fruition after Paul recently spoke to Reigns on his Impaulsive podcast.

The pair discussed Paul’s amazing SummerSlam match against The Miz, Reigns’ battle with leukaemia, and some of Reigns’ growing pains during his 12-year career. Once the ‘Tribal Chief’ left, Paul indicated that he wanted a future match against him, even being as bold to say he would win.

Later in the day, Reigns himself tweeted a response, upset with Paul’s words and demanding his counsel Paul Heyman handle the Media Megastar’s brashness. Paul then struck the famed promoter in the face on SmackDown, before the ‘Maverick’ and the ‘Head of the Table’ came face to face at a heated press conference on Saturday for the company’s next Saudi Arabia premium live event, Crown Jewel once their blockbuster match was announced.

Once tempers had cooled and the press conference had come to an end, Reigns mocked his future opponent by claiming that Floyd Mayweather stopped Paul from falling to the mat during their exhibition bout last summer, before claiming he will be more ruthless than Floyd in Saudi Arabia.

“Floyd was able to stop him from falling down on the mat, you know what I mean, when he cracked him… But I’m not nice man, Mayweather is nice,” Reigns told Behind the Gloves. “I’m much bigger, I’m much stronger, and I’m not nice like Mayweather. We ain’t about to just have an ex… like an exhibition, I’m gonna go out there and smash him.”

In the same interview, Reigns, in the midst of a two-year title reign, claimed it would be an embarrassment to his family, who are rich in wrestling history and success, if he were to lose a star who is at the infant stages of his WWE career.

“I got a whole company that rides on my, I got a whole bloodline, a legacy, I got elders who look to me to carry this family name,” he added. “How do I go back to my father, my uncle Paul and tell them that Logan Paul beat me, Logan Paul took the key to the kingdom? First of all, “Son, who’s Logan Paul?”

“My dad and uncle ain’t gonna know who he is and then I’m gonna have to show’em a picture and that ain’t gonna be good.”

Paul showed great promise in the wrestling ring after an impressive performance over The Miz at SummerSlam in July, but his next challenge is currently the toughest task in the sport: to dethrone the all-conquering Reigns.
