Aymeric Laporte has jokingly tweeted an image calling for his team-mate Erling Haaland to be kicked out for football following his stunning start to life at Manchester City.
Haaland joined City for £51m from Borussia Dortmund in July and has already netted 14 goals in eight league matches for his new club.
The Norwegian striker has scored three consecutive home hat-tricks in the Premier League, including in the Manchester derby last weekend.

His record in the Champions League is also a remarkable one as he has found the net five times in three matches this term. His unbelievable numbers have led to fans setting up a ‘Petition to have Erling Haaland removed from the Premier League for being a robot’.
The ‘Premier League’ part has now been crossed out and replaced with ‘football’ and Laporte posted an image of the petition on Twitter while tagging Haaland on Thursday.
Supporters who want to sign the petition can do so on change.org, and already over 300 fans have done just that.
The caption at the top of the change.org page reads: ‘Petition to get Erling Haaland banned from Association Football because it’s just not fair.’

This is not the first time that Laporte has poked fun at Haaland this week for his staggering goal scoring statistics.
After the 22-year-old’s latest hat-trick against United on Sunday, Laporte joked that he had signed ‘more balls than contracts’ after putting his name on the match ball for Haaland to take home.
Phil Foden also scored a hat-trick in that game, and he is City’s second-highest goalscorer this term with six goals in all competitions, but he is still 13 behind Haaland’s total.
Haaland has twice as many goals as his nearest challenger – Harry Kane – in the race for the Premier League Golden Boot, making it no surprise that rival fans are getting fed up with his lethal finishing.
