Emotional Antonio Conte in tears during touching tribute to Tottenham coach who died

Antonio Conte was in tears before kick-off for Tottenham‘s clash against Brighton as both teams paid a touching tribute to the late Gian Piero Ventrone.

The 61-year-old was the Tottenham fitness coach, and passed away on Thursday. Conte was an emotional figure in his pre-match press conference, and couldn’t fight back the tears in the dugout at the Amex.

There was a lovely minute’s applause that took place prior to kick-off, as Brighton and Tottenham remembered the man nicknamed as ”The Marine’ in Italy because of his rigorous training regimes. He arrived at Spurs with Conte in November 2021.
