While a third said: “Changing coaches in the immediate aftermath of winning the US Open seemed like a strange decision and now coaches are dropping like flies. Hope she’s able to settle soon and that she isn’t being given poor advice.”

Tursunov’s decision to leave the team was not Raducanu’s, according to BBC Sport. The Brit wanted him to stay on but it was ultimately the coach that decided to move on, though it is believed that the short-term nature of recent coaches factored into the decision.

Raducanu is currently recovering from a wrist injury but has big plans to represent Great Britain November’s Billie Jean King Cup Finals in Glasgow. Physical trainer Jez Green is set to work closely with the teenager to help prevent further injuries ahead of next year.
