Meghan Markle ‘distancing from Netflix series’ because ‘someone else had final say’
Meghan Markle is “distancing herself” from her high-profile Netflix series because “someone else was in charge” and had the final say.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex signed up to Netflix with their Archewell foundation after leaving the Royal Family in early 2020.
This included a deal for a documentary on Harry’s involvement with the Invictus Games, but fans have also speculated that a docuseries about their private lives may be in the works, after the Sussexes were spotted being followed by camera crews.

Now, though, one royal expert has claimed that the Duchess of Sussex may be trying to “distance herself” from the project.
Kinsey Schofield, host of the To Di For Daily podcast, told the Daily Star: “She has previously described the Netflix documentary as a ‘historical’ piece in The Cut.
“She really doesn’t want it to be considered a reality show. But you do get the sense that Meghan Markle is distancing herself from the final product.
“The Duchess wanted to make sure that the audience knew that she did not have the final say and at the end of the day, someone else was in charge.”
Kinsey then pointed out what this says about the former Suits actress’s “controlling” streak.
She said: “I thought that was incredibly interesting and encourages those rumours of how controlling she can be about ‘her truth’ and ‘their narrative.’”
It comes as another expert claimed the couple were forced into a rethink after the release of their reported Netflix docuseries has allegedly been delayed.
Royal commentator Neil Sean has suggested that the couple may have had to slow their plans for a reality series.
“It appears that Harry and Meghan are having something of a rethink about this particular project,” Neil told viewers of his YouTube channel.
“A good source that currently works out at Netflix told me this, allegedly, it was dull; there’s nothing much in there, it’s not really a docuseries.
“If you look at the bigger picture, they’ve got a situation where they’ve got footage from when they went to New York over a year ago, the Invictus Games footage from the Netherlands, and then we believe some footage from the Platinum Jubilee.
“Nothing will be included, of course, from the recent funeral of her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and rightly so.”
