Antonio Rudiger left with gruesome red eye after horror Champions League injury

Antonio Rudiger revealed the extent of the nasty injury he sustained in the Champions League.

The Real Madrid centre-back received a cut to his eye during Los Blancos’ 1-1 draw with Shakhtar Donetsk two weeks ago.

The German was hit with a nasty gash when he netted home a late equaliser in the fifth minute of injury time against the Ukraine side, cancelling out Oleksandr Zubkov’s opener.

Antonio Rudiger spoke of his admiration for Real Madrid in the press conference

Ahead of Tuesday’s visit to Leipzig in the Champions League, the former Chelsea man spoke about his admiration for playing for Carlo Ancelotti’s men, saying “I’m satisfied with my performances.

“I feel I’m on a good run, I don’t have to play every game because we have a large squad with a lot of quality. I feel I’m a 10 out of 10. I’m surprised at how quickly I’ve adapted. I had the help of [Toni] Kroos and [David] Alaba.

“I’m very happy. As I said in my presentation, I’m going to give 100 per cent for this club.”
