You could spend an evening with Meghan Markle at swanky do where tickets sell for £4.5k

An upcoming dinner is giving people the opportunity to hang out with the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle.

The event is being organised for the Women’s Fund of Central Indiana and is set to take place on November 29.

Titled The Power of Women: An Evening with Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex, the event will be raising money for girls and women in central Indiana, USA.

But to earn the right to sit with the former Suits star and wife of Prince Harry you’ll have to pay a pretty penny.

A round table for 10 people starts at $5,000 (£4,420) – although Hello! Reports that you will get $2,500 (£2,200) worth of food for that.

Taking to the web, the Women’s Fund said: “Women’s Fund is proud to welcome Meghan, The #DuchessOfSussex, to Indianapolis. The Duchess is a mother, feminist, and champion of human rights.

“Rabbi Sandy Sasso, an acclaimed writer and community leader, will serve as moderator for the evening.

“Rabbi Sandy Sasso is the first woman rabbi ordained by the Reconstructionist movement and previously served at Beth-El Zedeck in Indianapolis.

“Road trip! The event is November 29. Purchase your table for 10.”

Tavonna Harris Askew, the Fund’s advisory board chair, wrote in a statement: “Women’s Fund of Central Indiana believes in the force of women’s voices, women’s experiences and women’s work.

“We know that Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex does, too. We are honoured that she will join us on this special evening to celebrate our common cause—the power of women.”

Meghan’s career has taken a bit of a turn lately, following an interview she did with Variety that discussed her life out of the public eye that comes with being a working senior member of the Royal Family.

She chatted about her remarkably normal-sounding life with hubby Harry where they “share an office. We work from home, as most people started to do during lockdown.

“It allows us to have significant time with our kids at this really special moment in their lives. We’ll never get this time back”.
