Ryanair savagely troll Robert Lewandowski after Barcelona crash out of Champions League
Robert Lewandowski was ruthlessly trolled by airline Ryanair after Barcelona were dumped out of the Champions League by Bayern Munich.
Lewandowski forced through a move to Barca from Bayern in the summer. And the 34-year-old got his wish when Bayern agreed to sell him for £42.5million.
But the Polish striker could be regretting the switch to Spain after the Bundesliga giants ruthlessly ripped apart his Barca side at the Nou Camp. Lewandowski’s former team-mate Thomas Muller warned him that Bayern were coming to wreak havoc in Spain ahead of the game.

And the German’s prediction was spot on as they cruised to a 3-0 win, sending Barca hurtling into the Europa League, to Lewandowski’s horror. To make matters worse for Lewandowski, Ryanair decided to rub salt into his wounds by trolling the striker on Twitter.

The airline produced a fake ticket with his name on it, heading from Barcelona back to Munich, along with the witty caption: “Check in early, Lewy.” But despite Ryanair’s cheeky dig, Lewandowski will take comfort from the fact that Barca are second in La Liga, just three points behind leaders Real Madrid.
He’s also bagged 17 goals in 16 games across all competitions this season, and will be itching to get back on the scoresheet when Barca play Valencia on Saturday night. Plus it’s not all doom and gloom for Lewandowski as Barca will be in good company in the Europa League where Arsenal and Manchester United currently hold fort.
The Catalan side were also joined by fellow European titans Juventus, who crashed out of the Champions League after losing 4-3 to Benfica. Juve’s match against the Portuguese side was plunged into chaos when Uefa gave the game the go-ahead although goal-line technology wasn’t available.
The European governing body blamed Benfica for the inconvenience as the club’s works on their ground rendered the technology useless. But it didn’t matter in the end as none of the goals scored were debatable from either side.
