Nicolas Cage is UNRECOGNIZABLE with balding head and beard as he is seen for the first time on set of upcoming comedy Dream Scenario

Nicolas Cage was nearly unrecognizable when he was spotted for the first time on the Toronto set of his upcoming movie.

Produced by A24, the film is a called Dream Scenario, and though Deadline has reported it is a comedy no other details about the premise have been made public.

The 58-year-old movie star wore a grizzled bear and a large prosthetic bald patch, disappearing even further into character by way of a pair of spectacles.

Incredible: Nicolas Cage was nearly unrecognizable when he was spotted for the first time on the Toronto set of his upcoming movie

He was spotted this Friday filming a scene at the entrance of a movie theater with his co-star Julianne Nicholson, who recently won an Emmy for Mare Of Easttown.

Dream Scenario is written and directed by  Kristoffer Borgli, whose previous work includes the dramedy movie Sick Of Myself in his native Norway.

The new film counts Ari Aster, the director of such buzzy horror releases as Midsommar and Hereditary, as one of its producers.

Nicolas recently parodied himself in the comedy The Unbearable Weight Of Massive Talent, also starring the Mandalorian heartthrob Pedro Pascal.

The fictionalized version of him in this movie agrees to go to a birthday party for a Mexican billionaire who is a big enough fanatic to pay $1 million for the privilege.

Nicolas agrees to the arrangement without much enthusiasm, and his decision to do so lands him in the midst of an action comedy subplot.

The billionaire, played by Pedro, abducts Nicolas’ daughter and wife in order to extract performances from the movie star.

Pedro and Nicolas starred amid a top-flight cast that included Catastrophe star Sharon Horgan and How I Met Your Mother scene-stealer Neil Patrick Harris.

The Unbearable Weight Of Massive Talent opened this April to poor box office returns but a warm critical response to the tune of 86% on Rotten Tomatoes.
