Queen and Princess Margaret ‘saw a ghost’ believed to be royal relative at Windsor
The late Queen and her sister Princess Margaret once saw a ghost believed to be a relative at Windsor, a report has claimed.
The Queen and Margaret, reportedly saw Good Queen Bess at the Royal Family’s Berkshire residence, which is said to be one of the Firm’s most haunted homes.
From hobbling ghosts to saluting soldiers and even stolen bones, there are said to have been more than 25 reported sightings at the 952-year-old castle, the Express reports.

Windsor Castle was one of the late Queen’s favourite homes even though she reportedly saw the apparition of Queen Elizabeth I.
It is thought the best place to encounter Good Queen Bess is by waiting in Windsor Castle’s library.
Visit Britain claimed: “[The Queen’s] footsteps can be heard on the bare floorboards, before her striking presence appears.”
Those hoping to catch up with King George III are supposed to wait in the room below the library.
Witnesses allege they can see a figure “looking longingly out of the window”.

King George III was confined to his room for long periods of the day during the end of his reign as he became increasingly mentally ill.
George has also been spotted in a bedroom in Windsor Castle.
There are also records of hearing the “hobbling” ghost of King Henry VIII, who suffered from gout and painful ulcers on his legs, in the deanery cloisters.
However, Windsor is not the only property with a royal connection to have spotted ghosts.
Queen Elizabeth II’s mother was raised in one of the most haunted places in Scotland.
Glamis Castle, which opened its doors to guests this Halloween, was also the birthplace of Princess Margaret.
Glamis Castle’s general manager Steven Cumming said: “As one of Scotland’s oldest castles, the dramatic stories of the Ghosts of Glamis are legendary.
“The combination of the spooky stories, told brilliantly by our talented tour guides, and incredible effects as brave visitors walk through the castle will thrill and chill in equal measure.”
