Derby County lead the tributes after non-league footballer, 18, dies

- Non-league football clubs have also taken to social media to pay their respects
League One outfit Derby County lead the tributes for non-league footballer Fin Bowen, who has died at the age of 18.
Bowen, who played for Mickleover in the Southern League Premier Division Central, died on Tuesday morning.
His club Mickleover released a statement on social media, saying ‘everyone at the club is devastated’ by the news.
In a statement on Twitter they wrote: ‘Yesterday morning Mickleover FC tragically lost one of our own, goalkeeper Fin Bowen.
‘At 18 years old, Fin was an integral part of the clubs academy under the guidance of John McGrath, Pablo Mills and Andrew Dales.

Bowen made his first-team debut for Mickelover in a 3-1 defeat away to Leiston this season
‘He made his competitive first team debut away at Leiston in August after impressing in pre-season.
‘Everyone at the club is devastated to hear of Fin’s passing and will go to every effort to ensure he is never forgotten at the Don Amott Arena.
‘Rest in Peace, Fin.’
The young shot-stopper, who trained with Derby County several times last season, made his first-team debut earlier this season in a 3-1 defeat away to Leiston.
The League One outfit therefore led the tributes along with other clubs from around the country.
They posted: ‘Devastating news. Fin trained with us several times last season to aid his development.
‘Our thoughts are with his family, friends and all at Mickleover. Rest in peace, Fin.’
Fellow non-league football clubs have also flooded to social media to pay their respects to Bowen.
Alfreton Town replied to Mickleover’s tweet, by saying: ‘Devastating news. Everybody at Alfreton Town would like to pass on their best wishes to Fin’s family and friends at this difficult time.
Bedford Town posted: ‘Heart-breaking news. From all at Bedford Town Football Club, please accept our condolences at this difficult time.
Stourbridge also added: ‘Our thoughts are with Fin’s family, friends and everyone associated with Mickleover…Rest In Peace Fin.
Rushall Olympic also tweeted: ‘We are shocked and saddened by such devastating news. We send our love and strength to Fin’s family, friends and all at your great club. Rest in eternal peace, Fin.’
Mickleover currently sit fourth in the Southern League Premier Division Central after their opening 15 fixtures of the season.
