All four UK nations have been issued with storm warnings as intense rains and winds as strong as 70mph are expected later today (November 24).

The Met Office has issued weather warnings for London, South East England, North West England, South West England, Wales, West Midlands, Northern Ireland, South West Scotland, Lothian Borders and Strathclyde.

The UK’s national weather service issued the yellow warning over a brief spell of heavy rain and strong, gusty winds that could cause some transport disruption and flooding.

During the downpour, spray and flooding on roads will probably make journey times longer, while some delays to road, rail, air and ferry transport are likely.
