In a recent post, Molly shared two pictures of herself side-by-side to show how being on her period changes her body.
Before her period started she looked toned and slender, but when she started menstruating her tummy appeared a lot fuller and bloated.
She said it can lead to her weighing heavier on the scales as a woman’s body holds more water weight during this time.
Molly also said the time of the month can lead to her feeling more bloated, but wanted to remind others these feelings are “temporary”.
Even though it can make people feel a bit glum, she said it’s important not to let uncontrollable factors get you down.
Writing on Instagram, Molly said: “Being a woman SUCKS sometimes.
“Water retention is higher, the scales can jump up, you aren’t as strong and usual and those hormones and heightened emotions can be hard to battle with.
“It doesn’t mean you’ve lost all your progress, it doesn’t mean you’re losing all your gains, it’s just part of your cycle.
“So what are some kind things to do for your mind and body?
“Pick a cute comfy outfit, go for a gentle walk and move your body, do some self care, process, understand and try to rationalise your thoughts, talk to those who make you feel good and continue to nourish and feed your body.
“Sending you love.”
Since she shared the snaps, more than 4,000 people liked the post, and dozens of people left comments too.
People thanked her for talking about the topic, and for speaking about her experiences so openly.
One person said: “More coaches need to educate themselves and their clients about this.
“This full cycle is a rollercoaster for sure.”
Another added: “That period bloat and slug feeling is no joke.
“But you’re right – it’s ok and important to focus on what you can do to feel your best.”
Meanwhile, a third commented: “Need more of this seen on Instagram.
“Thank you for sharing.”
