‘Insensitive’ Meghan and Harry left the Queen ‘devastated, bewildered and disappointed’

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are said to have left the late Queen “devastated” when Her Majesty was on “borrowed time”.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who left the Royal Family in 2020, were said to have left the 96-year-old monarch “devastated, bewildered and disappointed” according to a royal insider.

It’s been claimed the longest-reigning monarch Queen Elizabeth II was looking to “tie up loose ends” with the pair when she was aware that her “health was failing”.

A royal insider quoted in Gyles Brandreth’s biography of Queen Elizabeth II alleged: “The late Queen not only knew the Duke’s health was failing but also her own.

Meghan and Harry were allegedly ‘difficult’ and ‘insensitive’ with the Queen

“It became clear that she was on borrowed time as she began to tie up loose ends. That’s what made the Sussexes’ behaviour doubly difficult to deal with. The timing could not have been more insensitive.”

At the time of Meghan and Harry’s departure from the Royal Family, the Queen had released a statement emphasising the pair were still “much loved family members”.

But insiders quoted by The Telegraph alleged the Queen was left “devastated, bewildered and disappointed” by the pair.

Her Majesty appeared to be aware of her failing health and set about tying up ‘loose ends’

Meghan and Harry had appeared on television with Oprah Winfrey to talk of their lives inside The Firm, and it appears the date of their interview came as the late Prince Philip headed into hospital.

It would appear the upcoming Netflix documentary on Harry and Meghan will further comment on the issues “behind closed doors”, as the trailer teased.

Daily Star reported on a number of hints and clues as to what the subject of the documentary would contain, including the “dirty bomb” revelations.

The Netflix documentary piece on the Sussex pair will release December 8.
