David Walliams ‘becomes embroiled in an argument with a fellow first class airline passenger after the fan tried to film the comedian’
David Walliams allegedly became embroiled in an ‘argument’ with a first class airline passenger who tried to take a video of him.
The comedian, 51, had reportedly been spotted in the VIP Emirates First Class bar by fan Jamie McDonald, who was on a Dubai trip.
But David was seemingly left unimpressed when Jamie tried to take a sly video of him, with the fan claiming that he ended up in an ‘argument’ with the star.
Unimpressed: David Walliams allegedly became embroiled in an ‘argument’ with a first class airline passenger who tried to take a video of him
In footage shared to TikTok last month, David could be seen giving Jamie a very stony look as he covertly videoed the Little Britain actor.
In text printed over the video, Jamie alleged: ‘Just had an argument with David Walliams in the first class lounge because of this video.’
He went on to claim that he was ‘awkwardly’ seated on the Emirates plane in the plush first class pod right beside David, sharing a video apparently of the star’s leg.
In another caption, Jamie alleged that David had ‘reported’ him, adding: ‘Don’t know if I can fly Emirates again. What a bean.’

Commenting on the alleged incident, a source told The Sun David had been trying to keep a ‘low profile’ and made it clear he ‘wasn’t happy’ about being pictured.
The source said: ‘David was hoping to keep a low profile during his trip but when you’re one of the biggest stars on TV that’s no mean feat.
‘He was spotted at the lounge but didn’t make a scene though he made it clear he wasn’t happy.
‘On the flight the guy tried to sneak another picture and David had had enough. He told a member of staff and Emirates decided to intervene.’

MailOnline has contacted David’s representatives and Emirates for comment.
It comes after David has seemingly reunited with his former co-star Matt Lucas for a mystery ‘writing’ project.
David and comedian Matt, 48, both took to Instagram on Thursday to share a picture of them both huddled around their laptops.
Matt kept it casual in a red jumper while David cut a laidback figure in a black hooded jumper as they appeared hard at work on their computers.

Alongside the snap, Matt teased that he could be working with David once again, simply captioning the post: ‘Writing.’
The comedy duo worked together for years on series including Come Fly With Me, Little Britain and its spin-offs.
But their relationship became rocky during a feud that lasted from 2011 until around 2018, during which time they were not seen in public together.
In his 2018 autobiography, Matt revealed how tensions boiled between the pair in 2005 during their Little Britain Live tour, leading to a spectacular backstage fight.

However, the pair then reconciled in recent years and reunited on screen for a Red Nose Day sketch earlier this year, and they now appear to be working together once again.
It comes after Matt revealed he has quit his role as presenter of The Great British Bake Off after three series earlier this week.
He has co-hosted the Channel 4 show alongside Noel Fielding since 2020 but has now stepped down from his role, citing his heavy workload as the reason.
Taking to social media, he wrote: ‘Farewell Bake Off! It’s been a delicious experience and I can’t imagine a more fun way of spending my summers.

‘But it’s become clear to me that I can’t present both Fantasy Football League and Bake Off alongside all my other projects.
‘So, after three series and 51 episodes, I am cheerfully passing the baguette on to someone else.
‘I would like to give my warmest thanks and gratitude to everyone at Love Productions and Channel 4 and to Noelipops, Paul, Dame Prue, the crew and, of course, the wonderful bakers for welcoming me into the tent.
‘I wish whoever takes over the very best and I can’t wait to tune into the next series without already knowing who won!’
Matt joined the show in series 11, replacing fellow comedian Sandi Toksvig who left the programme after three seasons.

Elsewhere, David was recently reported to have quit Britain’s Got Talent ahead of its 2023 series.
His future on BGT remains in doubt after he described an elderly contestant as a ‘c***’ and made vile sexual remarks about a woman who was also competing on the show.
The comments, made in January 2020 during auditions at the London Palladium, were picked up on the programme’s microphones and revealed last month.
They left both production company Thames and broadcaster ITV unsure about him returning for the 2023 series.
During the audition, an older performer engaged in banter with the judges in which he made a jibe about David. After the audition, the pensioner left, at which point David is said to have called him a ‘c***’ three times.
In another instance, after a female contestant auditioning on the same show had walked off stage, he remarked: ‘She’s like the slightly boring girl you meet in the pub that thinks you want to f*** them, but you don’t… It’s the last thing on your mind, but she’s like, “Yep, I bet you do!” ’
David, who along with his fellow judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon was in talks about returning for a tenth series, is ‘under the microscope’, with some senior staff saying he should be instantly axed.

Amanda and Simon weighed into the scandal surrounding David after offensive remarks he made about Britain’s Got Talent contestants were leaked.
Despite the backlash, Amanda publicly backed her co-star this week when she proudly declared herself ‘team David’.
Speaking about the future of Britain’s Got Talent, Amanda told Good Morning Britain: ‘I would like to see the judging panel look like it did before. I think we’re a great team, we’re a family.’
Asked directly if she was ‘Team David’, she replied: ‘Of course I’m team David.

Simon, 63, wasn’t as forthcoming when probed about his fellow judge in an interview with The Daily Star.
Asked about David’s conduct, Simon responded: ‘Can we not go there? If you don’t mind.’
When asked if David would feature on the 2023 BGT panel, he cryptically responded: ‘Ask me in a few weeks.’
He also insisted the judges weren’t the key to the success of the show, musing: ‘I think for me, the most important thing – and I had this conversation the other day. It’s always about the talent.
‘If you don’t have great talent, you don’t have a show,’ he said. ‘That’s all I care about.’
The remaining Britain’s Got Talent judge, Alesha Dixon, has yet to comment on the news.
