Lionesses will be staying at notorious party resort for World Cup in Australia
The Lionesses’ World Cup hotel Down Under promises to be a pleasure palace compared to the England men’s team’s in Qatar.
Gareth Southgate stationed his players at the booze-free Souq Al Wakra Hotel sandwiched between two mosques 10 miles outside the Gulf state’s party capital Doha.
Players were in a Covid bubble venturing out only to attend training, stroll along a nearby prom or visit their families. England had to have a hotel pool built for the team.

The Lionesses’ team hotel for next year’s women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand will be the Crowne Plaza in the beach resort of Terrigal, New South Wales.
According to TripAdvisor, it boasts a “loud nightclub, serves top notch cocktails” and “high tea with bubbles” and has a pub next door.
It has a bar overlooking the beach as well as a spa, a jacuzzi, an outdoor pool and is surrounded by boutique shops.

The Lionesses head into the tournament as European champions following their historic victory over Germany in the Euro 2022 final back in July.
England’s women have never won the World Cup, though they’ve reached the semi-finals twice. Once in 2015 where they beaten by Japan and again in 2019 when they lost to USA.
