Prince Harry ‘dealt Queen unjust blow’ in Netflix doc that has ‘outraged’ royal insiders

Prince Harry’s bombshell Netflix documentary saw him deal the late Queen a sneaky “unjust blow” with one subtle line that has left Buckingham Palace insiders fuming, a royal commentator has said.

The fifth episode of the Duke of Sussex’s controversial series made explosive claims about top members of the Royal Family, with Harry explaining how royal relations deteriorated after a disastrous Sandringham summit to discuss his future within The Firm.

He said: “It was terrifying to have my brother scream and shout at me, and my father saying things that simply weren’t true, and my grandmother quietly sitting there and taking it all in.”

But although the bombshell claims that an angry Prince William left Harry scared scooped most of the attention, it was the last part that triggered anger from inside the Royal Family.

Prince Harry hasn’t been afraid to speak out about his life in the monarchy

According to insiders, claims that Queen Elizabeth II would have been sat there not speaking during an explosive family row are likely to be untrue.

“It’s an arresting image – of the then 93-year-old Queen watching this tense and emotional- sounding scene play out as if from the sidelines,” wrote royal commentator Daniela Elsa.

“The question is, while the world has been focused on yelling brothers and the royal houses leaking to the press like a shop sieve, did Harry deal the late Queen something of an unjust blow and no one really noticed?”

The late Queen was known for being assertive and standing up for what she believed in, insiders said

The royal commentator pointed to quotes from one courtier, who told the Times the claim “doesn’t tally with anyone else’s experience of the Queen, who was ‘sharp as a tack’ and calling the shots until the day she died.”

“It’s outrageous,” one told the newspaper. “Harry never wanted to admit to himself that it was the Queen who said, ‘no, you’re out’.

“He couldn’t fathom that he wasn’t the cheeky chappy who was going to sweet-talk grandma into getting what he wanted.”
