While everyone loves some crispy roast potatoes and the popular pigs in blankets – the turkey is still a very important part of the meal.

However, a food expert has told her followers that there are three things they should be doing to ensure they cook a perfect roast this year.
Rebeca Huffman, shared her turkey cooking process on her TikTok account @rebecahuffman, to help her fans make the best festive feast.
In the video, which has gained more than 3,000 likes, she said: “Numero uno: Brine your bird.
“This is an overnight soak in salted, well-seasoned water that infuses the meat with moisture and flavour.
“Numero dos: Bake your turkey breast down and in the final 45 minutes, you’re gonna turn it over.
“Open up the bag so that way that [skin] on the breast will get nice and brown ‘cause we want our bird to have a tan.”
Lastly, Rebeca advised her followers to let the Turkey rest before carving and serving.
She added: “You want to give an opportunity for your meat to rest at least 45 minutes.”
Viewers took to the comment to praise her method and thank her for getting them prepared for their celebrations.
