UK UFO hotspot’s 2022 sightings – from flashing lights to object ‘letting off sparkles’
A number of strange and unexplainable objects have been sighted in the skies around the West Midlands this past year.
UFO sightings have left residents shocked around Birmingham and the Black Country – with UFO sightings having been reported there throughout history also – and some reckon the sightings could indicate the presence of extraterrestrials.
The strange goings-on have included bright white lights and two rapid circles, an object “letting off sparkles”, another flashing lights in the sky and many more, reports BirminghamLive.

Residents in West Bromwich were baffled by a UFO reoccurring over their homes. Video footage showed a clip of a bright white light over a home in the summer.
Resident Longie Willow, who took the footage in June, said it was not a star.
The light was seen heading towards an old church in West Bromwich, called All Saints. It dates back to the 1400s.
The resident told BlackCountryLive: “Twice now we have seen this in the sky.”
Another suspected UFO was captured on camera by a doctor on his mobile phone. Dr Mohamed Salama in Harborne took a clip which initially showed two bright circles of light before they moved apart.
The UFO then shot off and rotated before going behind a cloud. He said it was “not a plane, star, drone or laser” after flying quickly and changing directions.
“It changed its direction very quickly and travelled on the horizon in seconds. I have never seen something like this before.”
A mysterious disc-shaped UFO was spotted hovering by Dudley magnet fisher Drew Taylor. The 25-year-old, from Halesowen, was filming for his YouTube channel when he caught sight of the strange object near a Black Country canal.
He described it as “big and round”, noting it was gliding against the wind before “going higher and disappearing.”
Drew – who said he “100% believes in aliens” – could see four other eerie objects zooming across the sky from his spot alongside the Dudley No.2 canal, near Dog Lane Bridge in Old Hill.
He filmed the footage on his phone but had to switch to his GoPro when the screen “suddenly went black” and cut out.
Another object was seen moving through the sky ‘letting off sparkles’ in Wolverhampton. Jamie Wentworth captured a video of a strange sighting on camera in his back garden.
He was in his garden at around 5pm on Monday, August 8, when it caught his eye.
The video showed something floating around above the clouds, while the object moved higher and lower before vanishing.
