The UK’s best fish and chip shops have been shortlisted ahead of this year’s national awards next month.

Hosted by comedian Jason Mansford, the top chippes across the country are vying for 10 awards.

There’s the best newcomer, best takeaway, and, of course, the best restaurant.

The awards, which have been running for more than 30 years, are being hosted by the National Federation of Fish Frier.



The Fish Works is on the list for the Best Takeaway of the Year

Taking place on Tuesday February 28, the awards are being held at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge in London.
