Snooker star serenades TV presenters with belting rendition of ‘My Way’ at Shoot Out

Dominic Dale was seen serenading Eurosport’s TV presenters and pundits after singing Frank Sinatra’s ‘My Way’ during his post-match interview at the Snooker Shoot Out. Dale took on former world champion Ken Doherty in the second round of the Shoot Out.

After defeating fellow Welshman Matthew Stevens by just five points in a 54-49 victory in his tournament opener, Dale’s second-round clash with Doherty was much simpler. Dale put on a clinic in shoot out snooker by thumping Doherty 76-0.

The Welshman secured his hammering victory with still three minutes left on the clock, as his rival Doherty literally threw in the towel to give Dale the win.

As Dale missed a red whilst 76 points ahead, Doherty jokingly threw his towel from his corner onto the table to signal defeat for the Irishman. The pair shared a laugh with each other, before embracing in a handshake, and Dale then celebrated with the Leicester crowd.

The 48-year-old’s celebration did not stop there though. As a result the Welshman headed up to the Eurosport studio post-match to give his thoughts on his victory. And as well as his comments on the game, Dale showed off his singing skills too.

Stood alongside presenter Rachel Casey, Dale bellowed out a rendition of the famous Sinatra song to the delight of the punditry team. His singalong was captured live on air, and those watching at home were clearly big fans of the Welshman.

Taking to Twitter, one snooker fan – @Hemingway147 – had high praise for Dale, writing: “Go Dom!! Man’s a legend.” And this was also echoed by @Roar51007961 added: “What a star, player, commentator, entertainer.”

As a result the 48-year-old was asked by presenter Casey to hand back his microphone following the rendition as he began to balance his snooker cue on his finger to the delight of the Morningside Arena crowd. Dale will now take on Asjad Iqbal in the round of 32 on Saturday.
