Missing mum-of-two was on work conference call during dog walk when she vanished

A missing mum-of-two is said to have been dialled into a work conference call while on a dog walk at the time of her disappearance.

Nicola Bulley, 45, was last seen on Friday at 9:15am while walking along a footpath to a river, with her phone found on a bench still logged into a Teams call.

Lancashire Police revealed the phone find and that the family’s cocker spaniel, Willow, was found running loose by a member of the public around an hour after she was last seen, The Mirror reported.

Paul Ansell, Bulley’s partner, made an emotional appeal to find the missing 45-year-old, saying: “We need to find her. She’s got two little girls that need their mummy home.”

Bulley was last seen at 9.15am on Friday

Superintendent Sally Riley has since said that Nicola’s phone was still “active” on a bench, with a search launched immediately after.

They said: “It was on a meeting call, and that was still live it was connected to the conference call and that hadn’t been terminated.”

Superintendent Riley also confirmed that there were “no reports” of criminal activity, noting there is an “absence” of factors that could point toward an attack on the 45-year-old.

She added: “There are no reports of anything like that but clearly all scenarios are tested and checked for but in the absence of anything to suggest there was anything criminal was there anything to suggest she was attacked, absolutely not.”

Searches are ongoing for the mum-of-two

Bulley’s partner, Ansell, has since said that he is in a “perpetual hell” following the disappearance of the mum-of-two.

Ansell said: “It is just perpetual hell. It is just utter disbelief. We are living through this but it doesn’t feel real. All we can say is we need to find her. She’s got two little girls that need their mummy home. We have got to get some good news now.”

Nicola was last seen near Garstang Road in St Michael’s on Wyre, Lancashire as police say the search will continue.

Chief Inspector Chris Barton of Lancashire Police added: “Nicola has now been missing for two days and we are extremely concerned about her. We are following a number of lines of enquiry and are keeping an open mind at this stage about what has occurred.”
