Tyson Fury gatecrashed Jake Paul’s interview and scared him half to death

Jake Paul feared he was about to get hit by Tyson Fury after an interview was gatecrashed by the world heavyweight champion.

Paul is set to take on Tyson’s brother Tommy in Saudi Arabia on February 26 with the pair coming head-to-head in London on Saturday night.

Tensions spilled over inside the ring as they exchanged verbals with security forced to intervene, with the pair finally set to settle their differences after a year of insults.

Backstage at the OVO Arena, Paul was conducting an interview when Tyson burst into the room with his son – with the fear in the American YouTube star’s face there for all to see.

Paul was discussing Tyson and Tommy’s father Jake, telling SportsJOE: “Everyone seems to forget that Tyson Fury’s trainer is Sugar Hill and not the dad. The dad doesn’t know s*** about boxing.”

Security then allowed the Gypsy King into the room before he threw air punches towards Paul, who laughed nervously before giving him a hug.

Fortunately for Paul, Fury was in good spirits and offered him his congratulations on landing the fight before sending a warning to both fighters.

“Whoever loses is pretty much f*****, because they have had a lot to say. When you speak a lot of s*** you have got to back it up,” the heavyweight icon said.

“I have been doing this for years and now it is time for the big boys to do it.”

Fury then asked his son to fist bump Paul, but he refused in a show of loyalty to his uncle and ex-Love Island star, who is putting his unbeaten boxing record on the line.

Speaking afterwards, Paul admitted he was rather scared when Fury entered the room, conceding: “I really thought he was going to f****** punch me!”

Fury gatecrashes Jake Paul’s interview

Fury has previously warned his younger brother that he will have to change his surname if he loses the fight to Paul, who is coming up against an actual boxer for the first time.

But speaking on Saturday night, he warned the fight is a dangerous one for Tommy. “I think he’s a decent boxer. A lot of people think he’s just a YouTube person who doesn’t know how to box but I’ve actually seen him training and I’ve actually seen his fights and I think he’s decent,” he said.

“The thrills and spills of big-time boxing sometimes get to them so it’s going to be interesting to see if Tommy can handle that pressure, which I know he can, but it’s going to be interesting to see him do it in front of the world.

“I think Tommy knocks him out inside six rounds. Tommy hits and hurts me and I’m 20 stone and six foot nine and the heavyweight champion of the world.”
