Floyd Mayweather hasn’t lost it as he’s filmed toying with YouTuber in sparring session

Floyd Mayweather looked smooth in training as he prepared for his next exhibition match.

The undefeated boxing icon will fight for the first time in the UK on February 25 against Geordie Shore star Aaron Chalmers. Recently, 21-year-old YouTuber Jarvis was the unfortunate soul standing across the ring from the American in a sparring session.

The 45-year-old posted four rounds of the sparring footage to his Instagram and he has not lost a step. In the footage, Mayweather jabs, hooks, and pushes his opponent around the ring without breaking sweat.

For most of the session, the former five-weight champion danced around the ring whilst making high-pitched noises as Jarvis tried to land punches. ‘Money’ even boasted he could go 100 rounds in one of the clips as he lands on Jarvis with ease.

Highlights show the former champions landing various combos and heavy hits, while effortlessly dodging any response from Jarvis, who took the blows well considering the nature of the shots. Given the youngster has just one fight under his belt, which took place back in June 2021, it is no surprise an experienced and elite competitor such as Mayweather made easy work of him.

However, Jarvis will return to the ring as he recently signed a deal with Kingpyn Boxing and will compete in their upcoming tournament against fellow content creators. Mayweather’s last fight took place against YouTuber Deji, the brother of KSI, as he stopped the Brit in the sixth round of their exhibition fight in Dubai last November.

Now his return to the ring will mark a UK debut, which was originally to take against Muay-Thai champion Liam Harrison, who announced a late withdrawal due to injury. “I was originally supposed to face a different opponent, but injuries happen and I’m glad that Aaron Chalmers could step up so that we could give the fans what they want,” Mayweather said in a statement.

“The fans in the UK have always been great to me and supported me throughout my career, so an event like this has been a long time coming. I’m excited to add more history to The O2 arena in London.” Mayweather’s new opponent Chalmers is no slouch and has a respectable combat background.

He competed in MMA under the Bellator and BAMMA banners, and won his boxing debut against Alexander Zeledon last year. “I’ve been training with Adam Booth in the boxing gym and I’m eager to make a name for myself in the boxing world,” he said in a press release. “I jumped on this opportunity immediately.

“It’s an honour to share the ring with one of the greatest fighters of all time and I’m definitely going to take advantage of it.”
