NFL legend Tom Brady has retired from the sport after winning seven Super Bowl titles and becoming one of sports best paid stars.

Having made his NFL debut 23 years ago, Brady goes out of the NFL as one of the game’s all-time greatest and was paid handsomely during this time. According to Celebrity Net Worth, Brady is worth over £200million after earning enormous contracts with both the New England Patriots and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Aged just 25 the star’s second ever contract in professional football saw him take home £22m over four years. He spent 20 seasons with the Patriots winning six Super Bowl titles.

He then signed another lucrative contract with the Bucs, which was worth £36m across two years, also leading them to Super Bowl success and the playoffs in each of his three seasons.

Known as one of the greatest NFL players ever, lucrative endorsement deals have been commonplace in Brady’s career. As one of the most recognisable faces in sport luxury watch brand Tag Heuer to car giants Aston Martin are just two of the companies he has worked with. That has helped him amass one of the biggest net worths in sports.



Brazilian forward Neymar was the fourth highest paid athlete last year making £78.81m

In comparison Brazilian football star Neymar has a net worth of £162m, according to Celebrity Net Worth.

Neymar started his career spending four years with Brazilian side Santos before making a big money move to Barcelona and signing a five-year deal in May 2013.

After making 123 appearances for the Spanish giants, Neymar signed a five-year contract with Paris Saint-Germain that made him the highest-paid football in the world. His base salary from the club was £63.30 million. He also earned an additional £16-£32m per year from bonuses and endorsements.

Neymar’s wealth continues to grow and last year the Brazilian star was fourth on the list of the highest-paid athletes in 2022 making £78.81m. He was behind countryman Lionel Messi, NBA star LeBron James and Cristiano Ronaldo, with Brady ninth on the list making £69.91.
