World Cup star’s cheeky X-rated celebration during Middlesbrough match spotted by fans

Football fans have spotted Riley McGree’s X-rated celebration as Middlesbrough blew away Blackpool at the Riverside.

Chuba Akpom was at the centre of proceedings, as he bagged a brace in the 3-0 win – but it was McGree who caught fans’ attention. As Tommy Smith joined in with the celebrations, the Australian was seen performing the cheeky gesture.

One fan uploaded a snap to Twitter with the caption: “I love Tommy smith as much as the next man but this might be a bit much…” McGree was praised for his performance on social media, and he even chipped in with an assist.

Michael Carrick has silently been brilliantly at the helm of Middlesbrough after leaving Manchester United at the end of 2021.

After the game, he said: “I liked the second goal, the team goal, from goalkeeper Zack Steffen all the way through the pitch and then to finish it off with a great combination of Chuba and Riley (McGree).

“It is important (to win five in a row at home), when you have the support we have behind us. The boys are playing with confidence, the atmosphere that creates is special.”
