Tyson Fury offers in-depth fight prediction for brother Tommy vs Jake Paul

Someone’s ‘0’ has to go when unbeaten Tommy Fury takes on undefeated Jake Paul on February 26, and ‘The Gypsy King’ is backing his younger brother to prove his critics wrong with a finish against ‘The Problem Child’.

The influencer boxing community went wild after the younger Fury and Paul finally confirmed their fight is set to take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, this month. And while WBC heavyweight world champion Tyson Fury isn’t predicting a quick finish for his family member, he doesn’t believe Paul has the proficiency to go the distance.

“I don’t think it’s going to be a one-round, two-second knockout, one punch type of job,” the elder Fury sibling told iFL TV. “I think he’ll wear him down. [It’s an eight-rounder], so I think Tommy can wear him out and stop him later on in the last few rounds.

Do you think Tommy Fury will end Jake Paul’s win streak? Let us know in the comments section.

“As soon as Tommy hits him with some hard punches, I want to see what Jake Paul’s made of. Because when Tommy hits me with hard punches and big gloves on, it hurts me. I know Jake ain’t as tough as me or as big as me so he’s definitely going to be feeling pain, a lot of it.”

Fury, 23, was forced to pull out of his first scheduled meeting with Paul in 2021 because of a rib injury he suffered in training, as well as a bacterial chest infection. Their clash was reorganised for 2022, but Fury was forced out of the bout a second time due to issues with his visa.

Jake Paul and Tommy Fury are finally set to face off after two years of tensions

Those setbacks encouraged Paul, 26, to organise a back-up fighter in case ‘TNT’ fails to make the scales for a third organised meeting in a row. That’s left UFC fighter-turned-BKFC brawler Mike ‘Platinum’ Perry in with a chance of a major payday in the event Fury and Paul don’t face off.

To his credit, the youngest member of the Fury boxing bloodline doesn’t sound as though there are any doubts as to whether he’ll make the fight this time around. After countless jibes from The Problem Child in recent months and years, TNT appears ready to put an end to the doubters against an opponent who only made his boxing debut in 2023.

Tyson Fury has predicted a stoppeage win for brother Tommy in his clash against Jake Paul

“100 per cent, yeah,” Fury told Queensberry Promotions when asked if he was treating the challenge of Paul seriously. “I’m still four weeks out. . .I’m training the hardest I’ve ever trained. Serious business. It’s the biggest of my life, of my career, but it’s not the toughest test. I’m having tougher tests daily in the gym with proper world-class fighters. You’ve got to treat it as it is.

“But I’ll tell you honestly, man-to-man, I’ve trained for this like I’m preparing to fight for the WBC title of the world. Because it’s a fight that’s — it’s not like, a learning fight, like, ‘Yeah, I’m taking this fight, and it’s a time for me to get better and practice things.’ I don’t like this man. And come February 26, I will be looking to KO him in emphatic style. I’m training as hard as I’ve ever trained before, I’ve mixed up everything relentlessly just to get this man out of there, because I’m going to prove he doesn’t belong in this sport”
